Why Chickpea Crisps?
These things are addictive and full of protein! My older son loves bringing them to school for a snack.
They are great as toppings for salads, rice bowls, trail mixes, and even
They are much cheaper!
Just some quick math:
- 2 cans * 0.86 cents/can = $1.72
- Approximately $1/ hour of oven usage
- Total product: ~ 20 ounces
- Cost per ounce for homemade: $2.71/20 ounces = $0.14/ounce.
Cost of store bought crisps are approximately $0.91/ounce.
Why not chickpea crisps?
Hmm… can’t think of any. They do take a bit of time, but it’s not active time. As long as you can check on them from time to time, you can do other things on the side.
Extra Notes!
You can get creative with the toppings and flavorings. Mix it up with black pepper or sometimes try flavoring with sumac for tangy version.
